We believe God has called Valley Christian Center to the most important work in history. Furthermore, we are convinced He has equipped us to successfully achieve that calling. Therefore, our full devotion and passionate pursuit will be toward this end and demonstrated as we commit to these five standards of ministry:
1. Wise stewardship over all we have!
God has entrusted Valley Christian with amazing gifts, talents and resources. Therefore, we will strive to wisely use these resources—human, financial and facilities—and increase them significantly in a way that pleases the Master and extends his kingdom.
“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!” —Matthew 25:21

2. Excellence in all we attempt!
God is deserving of highest value. Therefore, in all that we do, we will strive to do it in a way that reflects beauty, grace and high quality fitting for the King of kings and Lord of lords. In everything we attempt, we must ask, “have we given God our very best?”
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” —Colossians 3:17, 23-24
3. Effectiveness in all we do!
God has designed his church to accomplish his purpose in the world and achieve victory for the kingdom of God. We will value effort but never be satisfied with ineffectiveness. Therefore, we will ruthlessly align all of our efforts and activities to carry out our divine mission successfully.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” —I Corinthians 9:24
4. Authenticity in who we are!
God has called us to be his people in a way that is uniquely us. We will actively learn from those ministries who are successful around us, but will not try to be their clones. Therefore, we will do our best to be the best “we” God has call us to be.
“We speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts. You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness…We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.”
—I Thessalonians 2:4-5,8
5. Honor to the One we serve!
Our ministry at Valley Christian is not about us, it is all about God. We are not out to build our little kingdom on earth, but to build the kingdom of God. Therefore, at the end of the day, all that we are and all that we do will be done to bring praise, glory and honor to him.
“That For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.” —I Corinthians 3:11-13
