Don Dickinson has been part of the Valley Christian Center family since 1980. Don’s initial area of ministry was for Valley Christian Jr/Sr High School, where he served for 28 years as the Athletic Director and Coach. In 1989 he became part of the VCC Pastoral Staff, serving as the Sports/Recreation Pastor. In the Spring of 2008, Don transitioned to a full time role on the VCC Pastoral Team, where he oversees Pastoral Care, ministry to our Active Adults and the VCC connecting ministry. Don is also the Director of the Valley Christian High School Alumni Association. Don and his wife Judy have been married for 30 years and have four children, Ashley (25), Amy (23), Adam (17) and Aaron (15).

Born in the Bay Area, Erik has serving in ministry for the past 12 years. He and his wife Debbie have been married for 18 years and have two beautiful daughters, Alycia 16 and Rebecca 13. Erik has served as Youth Pastor, Music Pastor as well as assisting in the start up of a Christian school. Erik has been responsible for the elementary, middle and high school chapels as well as teaching drama and worship classes for the past 6 years and loves equipping kids for ministry! Erik has experience in writing and directing large dramas, musicals and other outreach events as well as audio and video production. Erik and his family have a heart and passion to serve the kingdom of God and come along side families to see them walk in the plan that God has for them and their children.

Cassie Tundag joined the VCC Pastoral staff in May of 2008 as Director of Women’s Ministry. She has been a member of VCC since 2004, and previously served as Ministry Assistant to Student Ministry and Women’s Ministry. Born and raised in Southern Idaho, Cassie left to attend Northwest University in Kirkland, WA, graduating in 2001 with a B.A. in Psychology. She has had the wonderful opportunity to travel and serve people in various places and stages of life. She has worked with teenagers, college students, young adults, and women as well as traveled on mission trips to Israel, Mexico, Hollywood, and New Orleans. She enjoys traveling, spending time with people, reading, and being an Auntie.

Aaron serves as the Dean of Valley Christian Junior High and High School and Youth Pastor at VCC. Aaron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from the Stockton School of Theology and a Master’s Degree in Christian Theology at Bible Based School of Theology in Stockton. Aaron has served in the ministry as a Youth Pastor for the past four years and has taught Bible at Valley Christian Schools and various Bible studies and classes within the church. Aaron has always had a passion for God and the youth; he considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to introduce the love of Christ into the lives of our future leaders and ignite a fire in them for our Lord and Savior. Aaron and his wife Mia are both natives to the Bay Area; they have been blessed with two young boys, Josiah and Elijah.

Jason Gawel and his family have been a part of the Valley Christian Center family since April of 2010. Originally from the Sacramento area, Jason served as Youth and Worship Pastor for seven years in Lodi, CA. From there, God led them to serve as the Worship Pastor in Seaside, California, just prior to coming to VCC. He and his wife, Kim, have been married since 2002 and have two children, Micah and Ruth. Jason and Kim are actively involved in Cleansing Stream Ministries and they love to minister with people in prayer and discipleship. It is Jason's desire to see people develop a passionate relationship with Jesus and to foster an environment where the Holy Spirit is free to move. Jason loves to worship, spend time with his family and ride horses.
